Zachariah Sheridan

Zachariah is an educational and developmental psychologist with over a decade of experience in the field. He earned his Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology from Queensland University of Technology in 2014, following a Bachelor of Psychology (with Distinction) from James Cook University. As a registered psychologist with endorsement in Educational and Developmental Psychology, Zachariah brings a wealth of knowledge to his roles as a clinician and co-director of Bear in Mind Psychology.
At Bear in Mind, Zachariah supports and guides individuals aged 12 and older, helping them navigate the complexities of learning, growth, and personal development. His approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and a deep understanding of human development. Zachariah is skilled in a range of popular and effective therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapies, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
Zachariah is deeply committed to creating a supportive environment for his clients. He is particularly passionate about supporting neurodiverse individuals and fostering potential in all his clients. He works with adolescents, adults, and families to address various challenges, including learning difficulties, behavioural issues, and emotional well-being. By tailoring his approach to each individual’s unique needs, Zachariah helps his clients explore their potential, build resilience, and overcome obstacles.
