Adult Psychologist Sunshine Coast
Evidence-based assessment and therapy for adults at Bear in Mind Psychology.
Maybe anxiety has been running the show for longer than you'd like to admit. Maybe a relationship isn't working, a diagnosis you've suspected for years needs proper answers, or life has just become harder to manage than it used to be. Whatever brought you here, you don't need to have it all sorted before you reach out. We work with adults in a straightforward, non-judgmental setting — no jargon, just practical support that fits your actual life.
What We Help With
Adults come to us for a wide range of concerns. Some of the most common include anxiety disorders, including generalised anxiety, social anxiety, and panic; depression and persistent low mood; ADHD assessment and management in adulthood; autism spectrum assessment and post-diagnostic support; relationship difficulties and communication challenges; workplace stress, burnout, and career transitions; grief, loss, and adjustment to major life changes; stress management and emotional regulation; self-esteem and confidence; and trauma and post-traumatic stress.
Our Approach
We take a collaborative, client-centred approach to therapy. In your initial sessions, we will work together to understand your concerns, identify your goals, and develop a plan that is tailored to your needs. There is no one-size-fits-all approach — we draw on a range of evidence-based therapies and adapt our style to what works best for you. Our psychologists are experienced in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other modalities suited to adult presentations. For adults who suspect they may have ADHD or autism, we offer comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments that provide clarity and a foundation for targeted support.
