Psychology Services on the Sunshine Coast
Bear in Mind Psychology offers assessment and therapy services for children, adolescents, and adults on the Sunshine Coast. Whether you're looking for answers about your child's learning or development, support through a difficult period, or a formal assessment for ADHD or autism, we're here to help.
We work with individuals at every stage of life, and every service we provide is grounded in evidence-based practice and tailored to the person sitting in front of us, not a one-size-fits-all approach
Assessments
Our assessments give you clear, practical answers. We conduct comprehensive evaluations for:
- ADHD (children, adolescents, and adults)
- Autism spectrum
- Cognitive and intellectual functioning
- Learning difficulties, including dyslexia and dyscalculia
- School readiness
Each assessment includes a detailed report with recommendations you can act on, whether that's for school, your GP, an NDIS application, or your own understanding.
Therapy
We provide individual therapy for a range of concerns, including anxiety, low mood, behavioural challenges, emotional regulation, social difficulties, and adjustment to diagnosis. Our psychologists use approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and play-based therapy for younger children.

How to Get Started
You don't need a referral to book an appointment, though a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP will give you access to Medicare rebates. If you'd like to know more about our process, visit our new client page or get in touch.
NDIS, Medicare, and WorkCover
We accept referrals under Mental Health Care Plans (Medicare), NDIS plans, and WorkCover. If you're unsure which funding pathway applies to you, we can help you work that out before your first appointment.
Children
When big emotions, behaviour, or learning aren't clicking, we help families understand what's going on and build a plan that works
Teens
The teenage years can bring as many challenges as opportunities. We give young people a safe space to figure things out and build practical skills.
Adults
Whether it's anxiety that won't shift, a relationship that's not working, or a diagnosis you've been putting off, we're here to help.
