Submit a Referral
Bear in Mind Psychology accepts referrals from GPs, paediatricians, schools, allied health professionals, NDIS support coordinators, and other community professionals.
For GPs and Health Professionals
If you'd like to refer a client to Bear in Mind Psychology, you can use the referral form below or email us directly at info@bearinmindpsychology.com.au. Please include:
- The client's name and contact details
- The reason for referral
- A copy of the referral letter or Mental Health Care Plan (if applicable)
- Any relevant background information (e.g. previous assessments, diagnoses, school reports)
We'll be in touch with the client directly to arrange an initial appointment. If you have questions about whether our services are the right fit for your client, feel free to call us — we're happy to chat.
For Schools and Education Professionals
Teachers, learning support teams, and school counsellors can refer students to us for assessment or therapy. Common reasons for school-based referrals include concerns about attention and concentration, learning difficulties, social and emotional regulation, and behavioural challenges.
If you're completing a referral on behalf of a student, please ensure the family is aware and has consented to the referral.
For Parents and Individuals
You don't need a referral to see us. If you'd like to book an appointment, you can go straight to our new client enquiry page
If you'd like to access Medicare rebates, you'll need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP first. Your GP can refer you to Bear in Mind Psychology at our Maroochydore office. Visit our fees page for more information on what's covered by Medicare, the NDIS, and private health.
